"Avo (pronounced Ay-Voe) is the nickname of Army Aviators. This image is of a Black Hawk pilot (actually, it is a self-portrait of the artist when I was a Black Hawk pilot a number of years ago), is shown wearing the old style lightweight Nomex flying suit and Alpha helmet."

"The Black Hawk is a very well designed helicopter and has been the mainstay of tactical lift in the Australian and US Armies for over two-decades and will continue to be for many more years."
