"This portrait was commissioned as a farewell to a long serving member of Australian Army Aviation Corps: Warrant Officer Class Two Graeme Tobin was a Sergeant when I joined the Regiment a number of years ago and he remained within the corps during my time. He knew me as a 'wet-behind-the-ears' Lieutenant but always afforded me the courtesy and assistance that was required.

"Graeme's service was duly recognised by his peers and superiors when he retired after 35 years of service to the Australian Army and so this artwork was commissioned showing the good Sergeant-Major and the key aircraft types that he was involved with during his career in Army Aviation
